KEF are delighted to announce the introduction of their second
generation Home Theatre 1000 series.
The KHT1005.2 is a new version of KEF’s compact ‘egg’
home theatre system.The 5.1 system comes complete with the now
iconic ‘egg’ satellite loudspeakers, a centre channel
and the new Kube-1 subwoofer.
The satellites and centre channel have an enhanced sound performance
and an improved output but the most significant change comes from
the introduction of the compact and lightweight Kube-1 subwoofer.
The KHT1005.2 uses KEF’s smallest Uni-Q® driver (75mm
/ 3in.). Its metal dome tweeter and neodymium magnets deliver
an extended bandwidth normally associated with much larger units.
KEF’s Uni-Q technology disperses the sound across a wider
area ensuring the full enjoyment of the soundtrack is experienced
by everyone regardless of where they are sat.
In addition to the well known KEF silver finish the KHT1005.2
also comes in high gloss black to better compliment today’s
flatscreen TVs.
The sound image is completed by the Kube-1 subwoofer providing
a performance that belies its size, with a 150W onboard amplifier
driving an 8 inch long-throw bass unit and an 8-inch auxilary
bass driver, the output can be adjusted for both frequency and
level, for better personalisation.
The 5.1 system includes both desktop and wall brackets mounts
for a wider choice of set-up options.
